In the middle of the nature reserve

The 15 buildings are located on a peninsula surrounded by lakes. These belong to the Ahlhorn fish ponds, which are located in the middle of the extensive forest area of the Ahlhorn State Forest. The fish ponds are protected as an FFH protected area under European law.

A place for diverse activities

Boating, sports activities or educational programs related to nature are available. Children and young people will find play and sports facilities on the premises. The forest education center and the pond management of the Niedersächsische Landesforsten are within walking distance. Interesting destinations in the immediate vicinity can be reached by bike, including the museum village Cloppenburg, the swimming lake in Halen and much more.
